The Emerald Towns Alliance has contributed in so many ways to enhance the Brinnon school facility when funding has been so severely limited. Funds and services were donated to replace windows, replace the furnace, replace ceilings in the class-rooms, replace lockers, repair or replace lights and plugs, and a complete renovation of the girls restroom. These improvements would have cost the taxpayer over $48,374.00.
The Brinnon School was selected to be the recipient of
the 2002 proceeds generated from ShrimpFest. We generated enough
funds to replace the outdoor sign and it was set in place February, 2003.
Here is a picture that was in the Peninsula Daily News about the
sign. The picture shows the first message that the Brinnon School
wanted to get out to the public for approving the recent levy vote. The
burned out shell of the old sign was removed 2/17/03.
